Very early solid-cast bronze Buddha. I had thought it was (pre-Ming) Chinese, but I received feedback from an expert friend who believes it is Japanese, and that it is 800+ years old from the Kamakura period, or from somewhere before that time. Quite compact at 2.25" tall for the bronze itself. The height on the custom base is 3 3/8 inches. A rare piece for the advanced collector.
