瀚海拍卖记录、安徽文物商店旧藏
溥心畬自幼学习皇家骑射，并曾各处寻访良马，对于马的形体与神态能精确掌握。画中奚官手持缰绳企图控马，马则四蹄腾跃，怒目圆睁，急欲挣脱，两者间互为拉扯，形塑出画面张力。作品用笔精练，墨线勾勒后再施以晕染。恭王府旧传的马画名迹传韩干（活动于八世纪）《照夜白》，也传至溥心畬手上，本作颇有韩氏笔下骏马英姿。
1.骏蹄踏边月,冷露满平沙。应遇汉飞将,旌旆出褒斜。溥儒。2.马出明精,祖自天驷,十闲六种,各有名类,三才五御,驽骏异辔。松窗居士溥佺题。
