引首：戏犛图。平善之嘱，丁丑西光。钤印：马(朱文)
题跋：马西光我国著名国画家也，余与之十年前于深圳相识，大有相见恨晚之感。丁丑夏日，西光先生赴京，余亦赴京详见，时赠手卷戏牦图并亲笔题卷首。西光先生祖籍烟台，一九三二年生于山西临猗，一九四八年参加工作在青海高原生活已四十年之久，其笔下作品皆以西北高原人情风土为题材，其强烈的地方色彩，浓郁的边塞风情，清馨的西北诗意，意味深长的东方文化情韵，而构成之绘画风格，无一不给人留下深刻的印象。余观戏牦图乃西光先生精典之作，亦为收藏中不可多得之精品也。丁丑年夏日，平善并记。钤印：湘西王氏(白文)平善私印(朱文)悟(朱文)
