A pair of painted and parcel-gilt wooden putti, A pair of painted and parcel-gilt wooden putti, probably 19th century, Italian, each standing contrapposto and blowing a horn, on later wooden plinths, 65cm wide 65cm deep 131cm high (2) Condition Report: Evidence of repainting and restoration. The horns are probably later replacements. Each with one piece of dowel added for adoption to later bases. Chips, knocks and losses to paint and gilt. Dirt and marks. Rot and woodworm damage to feet. Cracks and possible repair to arms and wings. Knocks, splits and woodworm damage to stands.
