This monumental altarpiece depicting the Baptism of Christ displays influences of 16th-century Venetian art in the overall composition, for which there are numerous comparative examples by Veronese, for example; in the powerful figure of John the Baptist, reminiscent of the works of Titian; or in the design of God the Father in glory accompanied by fluttering putti, a motif which goes back to Titian`s Assunta from the early Cinquecento. Das monumentale Altargemälde mit der Darstellung der Taufe Christi zeigt Einflüsse der venezianischen Kunst des 16. Jahrhunderts: in der Gesamtkomposition, für die es zahlreiche Vergleichsbeispiele etwa von Veronese gibt; in der kraftvollen Gestaltung Johannes des Täufers, die an Figuren Tizians erinnern oder in der Gestaltung Gottvaters in der Glorie, begleitet von umherflatternden Putti, deren Tradition bis zur Assunta Tizians aus dem frühen Cinquecento zurückreicht.
