An 18-kt gold brooch, set with an opal and decorated with stylized embossed flowers with green enamel, designed by Bert Nienhuis (1873-1960) and made by goldsmith Lodewijk Willem van Kooten (1903-1972). Total weight approx. 6.3 g. H. 2.2 cm. L. 2.2 cm. A brooch with a nearly identical design by Nienhuis is on permanent display in Rijksmuseum Amsterdam (Collection no. BK-1980-67).
