Description The enlightened Buddha is seated in padmansana on a double lotus base, with the right hand performing the gesture of earth witness (bhumisparsha mudra), the left resting in avakasha mudra, palm up on the lap, the palm engraved with a vishvavajra (double vajra). He is dressed in a robe that is close-fitting to the body, the hems of the robe are engraved with floral decoration. Cult painting on the locks of hair and the ushnisha, remnants of painting on the eyes.
