Description The bell-shaped vessel with a flaring rim decorated with the Eight Buddhist Emblems in shaped panels on an engraved ground, the stem elaborately worked with lappets and incised floral motifs. Chiseled and in repoussé, with inset turquoise beads. Butter lamps are traditionally placed on the altar during ceremonies, filled with clarified (yak) butter or ghee and lit with a cloth wick.
