此佩白玉制成，玉质凝纯细密，满布红沁，取料厚实，巧做斧形，采用浮雕、镂雕技法，钮处雕两蟠螭，相对而立，卷尾下垂搭至斧面，斧身两面中部均减地浅浮雕刻兽面纹，线条流畅有力，画面威武而灵动。此佩打磨光滑，细部雕琢一细不苟，斧在上古为权利的象征，以斧为佩，亦有摹古之意。
