紫檀以镂雕、浮雕法刻桃形杯。器形古朴，以桃枝和桃叶为托，枝叶延伸巧设为把，杯口巧妙地做为桃形，杯口折沿，阴刻细线，方便安装内胆。此件选用上好小叶紫檀为料，质地细腻温润，丰盈寿桃，刻勒深峻，构思巧妙，折转流畅。木色深沉，包浆莹润，层层迭迭，刀法流转畅快，圆润而不露刀锋，为同类作品中上乘之作清代典型文房器。
