钤印：周元亮长寿年、画中游
周元亮（1904-1995）， 字容庵，北京人，1920年考入北京中国画研究会，随陈师曾、汤定之、金北楼、萧谦中等学习中国画。曾与王雪涛、吴镜汀等人举办联展，三十年代在北京荣宝斋“挂笔单”以卖画为生。1949年以后作品多次参加国内外重大书画展览。周元亮作品构图严谨，写景稠密，画风清雅脱俗。兼工花卉，所画梅、竹清新隽秀。曾任北京画院一级美术师。中国美术家协会会员，中国画研究会顾问，东方书画社名誉会长、中山书画社理事。
