此韘形佩以青白玉雕琢而成，佩近椭圆形，一端尖，一端圆浑，片状，中间开圆形孔。以透雕、阴线刻等技法，围绕圆形韘孔雕变形龙纹，线条生动流畅。琢磨精细，纹饰刻画考究，气韵生动，呼应传神，具有较高的艺术价值， 韘形佩是从玉韘演变而来，多作椭圆形，上端出尖，中有一圆孔，近似于盾牌或鸡心的形状，俗称鸡心佩。韘即古人拉弓射箭时套在拇指上用于勾弦护指的工具，后演变为一种装饰佩饰。
