Description An oak George III Period Lancashire chest. Having a rectangular two plank oak hinged top with mahogany cross banding, opening to reveal a large storage area. The front having an arrangement of rectangular oak drawers each banded in mahogany and retaining the original brass swan neck handles and escutcheons, six of the drawers are "dummy" and the bottom three are working drawers with oak linings. Having quarter fluted corner columns, panelled ends and supported on shaped ogee bracket feet with a wavy apron.
