提要：民国间袁世凯开清史馆，请前清盛京将军赵尔巽任院长，柯劭忞为总纂，缪荃孙等人为编委。至民国十六年，赵尔巽恐时局动荡及大限将至，将大体成书的《清史》一书付梓，并添“稿”字，以示未完。此书印成后为五百三十六卷，东北方面委托金梁将印成的一千余部中的四百部运往关外，有所抽改，史称“关外本”，与编者发现金梁举动，将尚余在北京的进行更正，史称关内本。此书即是1937年伪满大同印书馆照“关外本”影印。
