Of flattened ovoid form with a short oval foot, a recessed gilt base and two waisted necks with flat gilt lips, the interior with two separatepartments. Finely molded and decorated in gilt and bright enamels with a continuous court scene divided by palace walls and rockwork, depicting to one side an Emperor surrounded by officials, guards, and soldiers, and to the other a group of court ladies holding lanterns and noblemen in a courtyard.Provenance: English trade.Condition: Good condition with minor wear and firing irregularities, little rubbing to gilt and enamels, the necks with few minor chips, one with an associated minor old fill.Stopper: QuartzWeight: 75 gDimensions: Height incl. stopper 68 mm.
