SIGNED AND DATED WILLIAM WISE TRANSFERWARE TILE DRAFT HORSES Minton China Works Staffordshire England ~ 1879 This large Victorian 6 " x 6 "tile is transfer printed in brown against a creamy background showing good detail and good contrast. The tile from the Animals of the Farm series shows a pair of Draft Horses in the barnyard along with a Hen and Rooster. The rarity of the Horse tile is worthy of a private collection or a museum. Signed and dated by the engraver, William Wise for Minton Tile Works. Good condition. A small area shaved of along the right side.
