【款识】爰 【钤印】张季爰印（白文）、 按语：张大千花鸟从新罗山人、八大等入手上溯宋人工笔，刻意扬弃清末明初那种狂狷不羁的超逸风气，宁愿在优雅中求清逸，既不失院体的工整凝练，又有粗笔写意的画风。胸次既高，复又眼界奇宽，故其所作便自不凡。此件作品全然脱自于扬州八怪之一金农，冷逸峻峭。一股高傲之气扑面而来。金农用笔洒脱率性，张大千的性格也是狂放不羁，个性十足。梅花的枝干笔笔劲爽，遒劲沧桑。将梅花的孤傲与高冷，表达的惟妙惟肖。
