此佛像坐于莲花底座，双手抚于右腿膝盖之上，头侧于双手之上，似小憩，似思考，以釉里红为饰，开脸饱满祥和。釉面光滑温润，整体线条清晰流畅。明代釉里红是用铜的铜花为着色剂配制的彩料，在坯体上 （或先施以青白釉的坯胎土）描绘纹样，再盖一层青白釉，然后装匣入窑，经1250C～1280C的强还原焰气氛，呈现娇妍而沉着的红色花纹。从生产工艺看，釉里红用铜红料在瓷胎上绘画，施透明釉后在高温中一次烧成，铜红料在釉下，属于一种釉下彩。
