AN ARCHAISTIC FIRE-GILT COPPER REPOUSSÉ CENSER WITH STANDChina, style of the Tang dynasty – dating to the late Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or slightly later. The two-section platform stand with three stylized birds, surmounted by the round censer, the lid crafted in openwork, depicting a beast, and a suspended loose ring on top. Decorated with finely incised archaistic patterns.Condition: Good condition with traces of wear and age, rubbing to the gilt, manufacturing flaws, warping, and areas of malachite, cuprite, and azurite encrustations. Provenance: Estate of Wolfgang Zacke (1942-2022), co-founder of Galerie Zacke, thence by descent.
