|爵本为青铜古器的器型之一，原用途为饮酒器具。口形似雀，有流、两柱及三足。“爵”主要流行于商代与周代，后世的主要饮用器具“杯”，即是从“爵”之器型加以演变而来的。|乾隆时期，由于仿古与尊古的风气盛行，加上皇帝的喜爱与提倡，造就此一时期大量仿古器具的出现。从铜器、瓷器、玉雕工艺等，都可以见到仿古器具的踪迹。此件玉器仿“爵”之造型，以白玉为质，玉色温润而富光彩，杯口开阔附流，口沿凸雕对称二立柱，杯腹饱满，龙首状持柄，螭龙凸眼、阔鼻，形态生动，兽首吞柱足呈三足鼎立。器腹饰饕餮纹，碾琢精细。整器造型华丽，匠心独运，展现磅礡气势，为清中期仿古玉器之精品。
