A MOLDED AND CELADON-GLAZED ‘FLORAL’ BOWL, GORYEO DYNASTY, KOREA, 14TH CENTURY
Finely potted, the conical sides supported on a short foot and rising to a gently everted rim. Neatly molded with a design of spiraling petals in high relief, covered overall in a bubble-suffused glaze of sage-green color thinning slightly at the edges.


Provenance:
Christie’s New York, 14 October 1987, lot 63. A private collection in Philadelphia, USA, acquired from the above. The base with an old label, ‘204’.

Condition:
Good condition with minor wear and firing irregularities including pitting and glaze pooling, a chip above the foot.

折沿，碗内模壓螺旋形花卉紋，淺弧腹，圈足。通體覆蓋灰綠色青釉，邊緣稍薄。
