FOUR TIBETAN SUTRA PAGES WITH POLYCHROME ILLUMINATIONS, 13TH-14TH CENTURY
Tibet. Opaque watercolor, silver, and black lacquer on parchment. Each folio inscribed in fine Tibetan calligraphy, two of the folios further painted with images of Buddha Shakyamuni in the upper corners.


Provenance:
Danish trade. Acquired from a private estate.

Condition:
Excellent and absolutely original condition with extensive wear, small tears and losses to edges, creasing, and soiling.

Dimensions: Folio size 20 x 61 cm (the largest), Size incl. frame 52 x 71.5 cm (each)

Each set of two folios is framed behind glass. (2)
