玉质花插，最早出现于明代，造型以灵芝、玉兰为多见。花插厚重，纹饰简练，极少雕刻枝杈。而清代花插造型以动、植物为多，如双鱼、灵芝、佛手等。此件花插以和田玉籽料雕就，玉质润泽，局部留有皮色。花插为中空，器身为玉兰花，外侧雕连绵枝叶，并在底部镂空雕刻四柱状足。花插外部纤枝束束，极具“净若清荷尘不染，亭亭玉立倚栏杆”之风姿，高洁意态，栩栩如生。
