款识：寄萍堂上老人作。||钤印：阿芝（白）。 |备注：海外回流。||齐白石的绘画作品中，鸡的题材有很多。此幅齐白石的登科图中绘制了五只奔跑的小鸡，对于一幅尺寸不大的作品来说，小鸡的数量相对较多，但是这些小鸡却各俱姿态，憨态可掬，完全没有重复的形象，十分招人喜爱。它们朝着画面左下方的方向聚拢，呈散点聚合状，疏密得当，这样的构图方式使得画面中的物象散而不乱。这张看似轻松且漫不经心的画作，却流露出齐白石天真童趣的艺术风格和聪明机智的构图方式，实为一件颇具趣味的艺术佳作。
