题识：黑和尚逛山。心畬。|钤印：溥儒之印、心畬 |按：溥心畬在书画上可谓是怪才，此件《黑和尚逛山》，虽用笔简练，但充满着哲学趣味，意味深长。|身世际遇不同凡响的旧王孙溥儒，愈到晚年，愈显出自己随性随情的赤子之心，创作往往信手拈来、笔墨简括、别出蹊径。此图绘初春景色，孤山壁立，老树逢春，一僧正欲踱上板桥，忽停住脚步，回首凝望。奇在僧人黑头黑面，黑手黑足，只有双目留白，给观者无限的想象空间，留下难以忘怀的印记。将笔下人物的面孔画为纯黑，恐为中国绘画史上前无古人的唯一一例，似乎也只有“旧王孙”这样的胆色方能在艺术表现上如此的自出机杼。
