镇纸选用乌木为材，古琴造型，总体比例修长协调。琴面上七弦及外侧9个音徽，为镶嵌工艺表现。此器乌木包浆醇厚，发色雅致，润泽，似乎暗示着与琴音之清韵相合。琴背部刻诗文“隐书无复旧时楼”，落款“兰石”。
