盒子母口，浅腹，弧形器盖。盖面以剔红工艺雕琢推琴访友图景：庭院以假山、树木点缀。高山流水，亭台楼阁，下方锦地纹上雕琢一名仕双手抱琴，欲登高访友。唐宋以来的文人常在庭院内堆山凿池，植木造林，以便随时亲近自然，与花草虫鱼为友，俨然有出世之意。形成了这一时期特有的园林景观，并影响着后世的人文审美发展。此器刀法圆熟，藏锋不露，地锦小巧，具备明永乐至宣德时期雕漆的特点。
