说明：砚面圆形微拱，下承三足。青花纯净明快，绘山水人物图。砚堂银锭形，长圆墨池微凹，上覆错金“垂云”木盖。
元明以前，砚材长期以来石陶（瓷）并举，至明代，石材成为最主要的原料。瓷砚虽在明代也曾盛行一时，但相比石砚，仍属稀少。明代瓷砚以青花为主，大多圆形或长方形，纹饰以龙凤或缠枝花居多。本品砚堂窄浅，不甚实用，当是赏玩为主，且绘山水人物，又与寻常商品有别，故虽有剥釉，品相欠佳，仍应宝之。
