|此件笔筒取自天然厚壁竹节，适于深挖浅刻。直筒式、竹节横腹为底，下承三矮足。色泽熟红光腻，外壁通景装饰，采用剔地浮雕法，用刀犀利流畅，刻露精湛。猎者拉弓欲射，骏马低首觅草，一静一动构图紧凑，人马相协，层次分明，立体感强，所作人物服饰，为满人装束。狩猎图乃标准清代宫廷艺术题材，反映了满洲族裔的游猎骑射文化。乾隆帝曾说：“骑射为我朝家法，故以身先之，不敢自逸。”哨鹿围猎不仅是满洲民族的生存之本，更是八旗制度的起源。狩猎组织的军事化、制度化使得这些围猎设伏的关外猎手们成长为逐鹿中原的虎狼之师。此笔筒造型小巧，雕刻精细，构图雅致，为文玩佳品。
