青铜灯于战国中期已开始出现，秦汉时期广为流行。其中尤以艺术化的高坐灯最能代表汉代铜灯之艺术水准，其经典的造型，后世多有仿制。本品即仿此一时期造型略加化裁而成，圆形铜制底座沉稳，其上龙首灯杆高挑，龙首衔其蜿蜒的灯盘，盘旋而下，幅度逐渐增大。至中段自然收束成龙尾形状，与龙首相呼应，颇具巧思。灯盘为正环形凹槽状，小圆盘等分环饰，中部立钉，可供放置蜡烛。灯杆錾刻连绵不断的云气纹。除底座外，通体鎏金，整体造型颇具巧思，纹样繁缛精美，亭亭玉立，又不失稳当牢固，且成对而存，十分难得。
