自在观音造像予观者无拘无束，自由自在的感觉。此尊观音头戴宝冠，宝冠中空，正好显露发髻中间的化佛，眉间有白毫，眉细目圆，嘴角微扬，表情呈慈悲之像。辫发散于两肩，胸佩璎珞，上身披天衣，下身着裙，自在坐与宝座上。宝座左右两翼分饰神鸟和宝壶，神鸟动态十足，极具观赏性。整像细部刻画严谨且富有装饰性，造像装饰与开脸极具元代风格，与首都博物馆的元代瓷观音像及宋元时期湖田窑观音像十分相似，堪称元代造像的佳作。
