佛经谓观音菩萨有三十三个不同形象的法身，画作观水中月影状的称水月观音，相传，最早绘制水月观音始于唐代。此尊顶置化佛，下承莲座，发丝由中间分开，结成发辫，自然垂搭于两肩之上。面形丰圆，额头高广，双目微阖，表情寂静。上身躯体劲健，佩戴各种饰物，帔帛绕臂而下，落于座前。左手自然放于左膝之上，右手捧净瓶。**着宽松长裙，左腿踩于座上，右腿呈倚坐状，下承方形台座。整像胎体厚重，细部刻画严谨且富有装饰性，造像表现了汉传**的内容，但局部又带有藏传**造像的艺术特点，堪称汉藏结合的造像佳作。
