本尊宗喀巴大师像全跏趺坐于莲花宝座之上，双手结说法印，且分别各牵一株莲花开于双肩，左肩花蕊中立经卷，右肩花中立宝剑，皆以火焰纹包围，这与文殊菩萨的标识一致。因藏密尊奉宗喀巴为文殊菩萨的化身，故经书与宝剑亦成为其身份的标志。头戴通人冠，面相庄严，神态沉静。躯体端正挺直，身着袒右肩式袈裟，内穿交领式僧衣，这是西藏僧人的典型装束。衣纹刻划厚重写实，衣领及袖口边缘处均錾刻有清晰的花纹带，做工精细。束腰仰覆式莲花座，莲瓣精巧挺拔，线条刚硬，瓣尖微卷，时代特徵明显，清康熙宫廷风格。
