Some surface dirt. There are some superficial surface abrasions to the edges, consistent with it being unframed. There is a fine craquelure. Re-touching is apparent along the left edge due to peripheral frame rubbing. Under UV light, there is infilling to the craquelure in places throughout, and a more general washing in places that fluoresces darker. On the scent (horses travelling left to right) - the canvas is lined, some surface dirt and craquelure in places. There are some superficial surface abrasions to the edges, consistent with it being unframed. There is retouching to the left, right, and top edges due to peripheral frame rubbing. Under UV light, there are some scattered retouchings to the lower portion and some infilling to the craquelure - less extensively than to 'Hunt in full cry'. Both parts are presented in a stable condition and not too dirty, they do not appear to have been over cleaned and there remains good detail. With a little localised attention to the abrasions, the pictures could be framed and would be ready to hang without extensive cleaning.
