A SILVER-INLAID BRONZE FIGURE OF HERUKA AND CONSORT, QING Tibetan-Chinese, 18th century. Cast standing in a strident pose, trampling on reclining deities on a lotus base, both wearing elaborate crowns. The heruka with flaming hair, spread wings and a wrathful expression, the face executed with much detail for the relatively small size. With silver inlays to the two main eyes and the urna, the ears with large circular earrings. Provenance: From a Dutch private collection. Condition: Good condition with minor wear and casting flaws, small nicks and scratches, some natural malachite-green encrustations to the wings and base. Unsealed. Together, they are meditational deities of the highest yoga tantra.
