A CELADON AND RUSSET JADE 'BAT AND COIN' PENDANT, LATE QING China, late Qing dynasty (1644-1912). Neatly carved as a bat with incised wings resting on a cash coin. Two piercings, one through the coin and the other to one of the bat's wings, allow for suspension as a pendant. The translucent stone of a celadon tone with russet veins and patches as well as cloudy white inclusions, the surface with an appealing oily feel. Condition: Very good condition with minor wear.
