A FINE BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN DISH China, Kangxi period (1662-1722). The circular dish slightly lobed, like the pointed end of a lotus bud, the rim decorated in underglaze blue with many lotus leaves and scrolling vines, the central depiction with finely painted court ladies. The backside with stems and an apocryphal Chenghua six-character mark within a double circle. Condition: Very good condition with minor fritting to rim. Provenance: Holzapfel collection, Geneva, Switzerland. This lot was acquired by a third-generation member of the Holzapfel family after 1995 and has remained in the family ever since.
