A SMALL PYU HONEY-AGATE 'ELEPHANT' TALISMAN Burma/ Myanmar, Pyu city states (200-1000 CE). Well-polished agate of a nice warm orange hue, hand carved in the shape of an elephant with a short and lowered trunk. Central drilling showing ancient toolmarks and allowing for suspension as a pendant. Simple, geometric carvings indicate the animal's collar, legs and tusks. Stone with some natural, darker inclusions. Condition: Good condition with minor traces of age and small flaws to the surface.
