A LAPIS LAZULI 'ANTELOPE' INTAGLIO SEAL Probably Sasanian, ancient Persia /Iran, c.3rd-6th cent. Semi-circular seal with engraved depiction of a horned animal, probably an antelope and eight dots to the left side. In beautiful color of indigo blue with some greyish inclusions and mica flakes. Central drilled hole for suspension on a necklace or around the wrist so that the seal is always available when needed. Condition: Very good condition commensurate with age.
