An ornately pierced and carved headboard, 19th century, Italian, decorated all-over with scrolling acanthus leaves and set with an oval canvas panel painted with roses, 110cm wide 75cm high Provenance: Folly Mill, Thaxted, Essex. Condition report: Knocks, chips and losses throughout, top section lacking, canvas very dirty. Areas of old restoration to leaftips.
