拍品与故宫博物院藏元青白玉鳜鱼衔莲题材相同、工艺相近（参见《故宫博物院藏品大系·玉器编5·唐宋辽金元》，页236，图272），雕刻一只肥美的鳜鱼，口衔荷叶，似在水中恣意畅游。全器满布褐色斑纹，腹部尤为明显，似鳜鱼天然体色，鱼身、鱼鳍阴刻网格纹，时代工艺特征明显。鳜鱼衔莲为元代玉雕常见题材，取“鳜”谐音“贵”，有年年富贵之意。参阅：《故宫博物院藏品大系·玉器编5·唐宋辽金元》，紫禁城出版社、安徽美术出版社，2011年，页236，图272
