This lot consists of three different works: - One poem bound in velvet and decorated with silver appliques given as a gift by the students of the Berlin Academy to their teacher Gottfried Schadow on 31st December 1824. - A sketchbook by the 18 year old Rudolf Schadow from 1804 with 26 bound pages of 10 pen drawings by the artists as well as two pen drawings by Gottfried Schadow. A portrait sketch of Clara Schumann can also be attributed to him. The latter three undated. Two further pen drawings by Rudolf Schadow from 1814 were later glued into the book. Dimensions Bound sheets 20.5 x 26.4 cm each, loose sheets 16.4 x 22 cm. Artist or Maker Rudolf (Ridolfo) Schadow Provenance Acquired in Switzerland in 1994, subsequently in private ownership, Berlin.
