渣斗亦属茶具之列，元人笔记中曾有记载。其在晋代始见使用，以瓷质为常材，北宋越窑、耀州窑、南宋官窑均有烧制。明清两代渣斗常被放置于床边和几案上，以备存纳微小废弃之物。此器造型端庄周正，线条优雅，胎体致密细白，霁蓝釉深沉静穆，光绪本朝。
