此方桌以黄花梨木制成，用料考究，结构大方得体，无束腰，裹腿横枨，内镶板雕螭龙纹纹饰，下设刀牙板。造型简练舒展，俊秀高雅，古朴端庄，榫卯精致，为典型明式风格，通身散发出古典家具独到的韵致，置于厅堂书房，可体现主人高雅情趣，令人回味。此方桌最大的特点在于圆，圆腿圆枨，采用裹腿做形式，俗称圆包圆。“跺边”等常见的明代家具装饰和结构手法，为相当精致且很实用的家具。“圆包圆”是古典家具上一种比较讲究的造法。再现了中国古家具的历史文化，是中华民族古文化的精华艺术，风格独特，具有很高的艺术价值。参阅：《明式家具研究》，王世襄著，香港三联书店1985年版，第80页，乙60。
