撇口，束颈，丰肩，直壁，四方圈足，八仙传说起源甚早，明代以前，人物构成说法不一，至吴元泰《东游记》最终将组合固定为铁拐李、汉钟离、张果老、吕洞宾、何仙 姑、蓝采和、韩湘子、曹国舅。由于吴元泰活跃于明嘉靖年间,此件拍品应为装饰此八仙人物的最早例证，为后世所沿用，影响深远，八仙人物形象生动，面容勾描细致，青花发色艳丽鲜明，是明代嘉靖时期不可多得之真品佳器。
