此尊观音开脸饱满，法相端严。菩萨头束高髻，双耳垂肩，神态慈祥，略带笑意。身披长袍、锦帔着长裙，施以粉彩绘花卉纹，与头上描绘的图案相互呼应，增强了立体效果，衣纹处理流畅自然。观音怀抱小童，盘腿屈膝而坐。笑容可爱形态逼真。整器造型大方，气质高雅、安详，粉彩艳丽，是为曲尽其妙，观音菩萨是观察世间民众声音的菩萨，具有无量的智慧和神通，大慈大悲，普救人间灾难，是宫廷及民间最为常见的佛教供养菩萨，然而由于造像的造型复杂，对细部要求高，成功之作甚少。加之难以保存，故传世的粉彩佛像十分稀少。
