阿难是与老年的迦叶并称的释迦牟尼佛的两大弟子，以博闻强记着称。此像为年轻的僧人形象 ，面目清秀，呈思索的表情。身着袒右肩袈裟，袈裟包裹身躯，体型优美，衣着的立体感很强，衣纹走向流畅生动。左手持钵，右手持禅杖（已失落）站立于圆形仰覆连台座上。背后是镂空的火焰纹背光，正上方用松石篏摩尼宝。为内地造像。
