朝冠方炉折腹式。按图谱，朝冠炉初铸为敕赐詹事府、翰林院、国子监等等文职衙门及其主要官员的特别形制，寓意加官晋爵，颇富吉祥意。此炉选用精铜为材，整器敦厚规整，严谨合度。平口外翻，内外口沿倭角状。肩出双朝冠耳，曲转向上，直腹自然流畅，为器身增添挺拔之姿。整器雕满宝相花纹，雕工高超，底承四实心兽面足，与器身搭配合宜，健硕有力，稳当扎实，又不失威仪，整器端庄大气，双耳、四足皆与器身一体是一件不可多得的方炉。
