笔架山早期多为石质陈设于文人案头，是置放毛笔的一种文具，宋朝鲁应龙在《闲窗括异志》中对此有准确描述：“远峰列如笔架”。此瓷质笔架山，高低耸秀，全器满施哥釉，肥厚纯正，釉色清幽雅致，似月光柔和恬淡，积釉处釉光莹莹，青韵十足，仿若一汪清泉。其上满布冰裂纹，小器大开，交错有致，布局疏朗清新，放于书房案头，以置笔之用，文人气息尽显其间。
