麒麟薰炉铜胎，口微张，背部开孔（用于置香），躯干及四肢毛发毕现，四肢匍匐（于云端），尾巴卷起贴着后肢，作回首望月状。铸铜精良，錾刻精致，包浆沉厚，构思巧妙，原配红木底座镂雕如意云纹，与望月麒麟相得益彰，恍若天成。
